Newman College is committed to addressing concerns and grievances in a fair and transparent manner. Our Grievance Redressal Cell, led by the Principal and supported by three dedicated faculty coordinators, is here to ensure that every voice is heard and every issue is resolved with care and urgency.

Our Approach: The Grievance Redressal Cell is designed to be a compassionate and effective mechanism for resolving sensitive matters. We prioritize patient listening, understanding, and providing necessary assistance to those in need. Your feedback is invaluable, and we encourage you to share your thoughts through open and uninhibited written suggestions.

Operating in Accordance with UGC Norms: We adhere to UGC (University Grants Commission) norms to guarantee a structured and accountable grievance redressal process:

  • Grievance Committee Composition:
    • Principal of Newman College (Chairperson)
    • Three senior faculty members nominated by the Principal
    • One student representative nominated by the Principal
  • Tenure: Members serve a two-year term, ensuring continuity and expertise.
  • Quorum: A meeting of the Grievance Committee is considered valid with a minimum of two members present.
  • Prompt Resolution: To ensure timely action, the committee submits its report and recommendations to the Vice-Chancellor of the affiliating University within 15 days of receiving a complaint.
