Department of Chemistry Celebrates World Environment Day 2025

The Department of Chemistry at Newman College Thodupuzha is celebrating World Environment Day 2025 with the theme “Putting an End to Plastic Pollution.” Join us for a day of awareness, action, and community spirit to protect our planet for future generations.

Programs at a Glance:

  • Inaugural Lecture: “The Plastic Crisis: A Call to Action” by Dr. Bejoy Thomas (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Chemistry).
  • Tree Plantation Drive: “Let’s plant hope” led by Prof. Biju Peter (Vice-Principal & Head, Dept. of Chemistry).
  • Oath Taking Ceremony: A pledge to protect the environment and reduce plastic use, led by Dr. Jenni K. Alex (Principal).
